1st Annual FORE! the Kids Golf Tournament

LINCOLN, NE- On your mark…get set…GOLF! On July 23, 2001, golfers from across the city of Lincoln will participate in the FORE! the Kids golf tournament at Crooked Creek Golf Course. All of the proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network.

Founded in 1948, Children's Hospital continues to provide leading edge, quality health care to the children of the heartland. Last year, nearly 1,000 children from Lancaster County were touched through Children's inpatient and outpatient services.

In September 2000, Children's Hospital opened the doors to a new facility that was designed with children and their families in mind. Although the new building is allowing Children's Hospital to provide even more services to the region it serves, the services aren't confined within these walls. Several of the 25 pediatric specialty clinics provide outreach clinics in communities around the region. Children's clinics offered in the Lincoln community include Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Endocrinology.

Golfers will have the opportunities to meet Will Hind, a child whose life has been greatly affected by Children's Hospital. His survival is a true testament to the great need for the Children's Hospital in this area.
