RunzaŽ Coordinates Kids Helping Kids Book Drive
Lincoln, NE -
Throughout the month of March, RunzaŽ encourages kids to help other kids by donating a new children's book at any RunzaŽ location.
RunzaŽ Restaurants is a long time supporter of reading and literacy. Reading expands one's imagination, strengthens vocabulary knowledge and provides an excellent opportunity for families to spend time together. The ability to read is vital in a child's quest for success in school and everyday life.
All donations will be given to youth organizations to help instill the importance of reading and build up the bookshelves of those less fortunate. Kids who donate a book will receive a FREE kid-size ice cream cone.
"We encourage kids to help other kids by donating a new children's book. Through this effort, RunzaŽ hopes to gather a large number of books to donate to area youth organizations. Kids who contribute a book will be rewarded with a free ice cream cone," said Donald Everett, Jr., President of RunzaŽ National. Mr. Everett also serves as a board member for the Lincoln Literacy Council.
