Crew Member Opportunities

As a rapidly growing chain, Runza^® is looking for energetic, career-minded individuals who are willing to learn the business from the ground up!

A crew member is Runza^®’s most important asset. They are the individuals who keep our business going day in and day out. They are the heart & soul of our operation. Positions within our stores that crew members can learn include: Front Counter, Drive-thru, Kitchen & Production.

Among a variety of benefits, crew members are offered flexible schedules which meet the needs of busy students, working parents, and those who have other time commitments. Part-time and full-time schedules are available to crew members which can vary from 10 hours to 40 hours per week.

Many of Runza^®’s top crew members increase their store duties and responsibilities to become a Certified Shift Supervisor, Certified Store Bookkeeper, Certified Store Trainer, or a Neighborhood Marketing Representative. These positions allow crew members to learn new responsibilities without giving up any of the flexibility they enjoy. Thorough, top-notch training is offered for each of these positions. The experience gained by holding one of these positions is certainly applicable to obtaining other careers and is an excellent stepping stone to higher positions within Runza®.

Runza® Crew Member

A crew member is Runza^®’s most important asset. They are the individuals that keep our business going day in and day out. They are the heart & soul of our operation. Positions within our stores that crew members can learn include: Front Counter, Drive-thru, Kitchen & Production.
Crew members start out with excellent training through custom training films and our Employee Handbook and Manual. Then they move to on-the-job training with another crew member or management staff member by their side. They are then ready to tackle the position on their own, with plenty of help nearby.
Certified Shift Supervisor

Once a crew member has mastered the positions in the store, they may want to try their hand in a leadership position. In order for a shift to run smoothly, it is imperative a Shift Supervisor is present. This person is in charge when a management person is not around and they lead the other crew members throughout the shift. A Certified Shift Supervisor is often responsible for opening or closing the store. A higher wage is usually associated with this position. Must be at least 18 years of age to be a Certified Shift Supervisor.
Certified Neighborhood Marketing Representative

A Certified Neighborhood Marketing Representative acts as a liaison between the Runza® National Marketing Department, store, and community for coordination of all Neighborhood Marketing events, including: planning for Runza^® Rex and food costume visits, local school partnership program, sponsorship and donation requests, prepares the Neighborhood Marketing report, and attends civic organization meetings in order to get to know others in the community. Employee must be 18 years of age or older. There are no specific hour or shift requirements and a higher wage accompanies this position.
Certified Store Bookkeeper

A Certified Store Bookkeeper is responsible for performing the majority of bookkeeping duties at the store, which may include: handling cash on hand, counting drawers, deposits, preparing and scanning daily and month-end bookwork, coupon tracking sheets and labor sheets. A Certified Store Bookkeeper also checks and files invoices and audits reports to ensure accuracy. Employee must be 18 years of age or older. There are no specific hour or shift requirements and a higher wage accompanies this position.
Certified Store Trainer

A Certified Store Trainer must possess superior knowledge of store positions they train others in, such as: Front/Drive Thru, Production, and Kitchen. Responsibilities include: cross-training current employees, training new employees on positions, store policies, and culture in accordance to the "Official Runza^® Training Guide", filling out new employee paperwork, communicating the trainee’s progress to management, etc. Employee must be 18 years of age or older. There are no specific hour or shift requirements and a higher wage accompanies this position.
