Franchising Application Process
INITIAL INQUIRY
After reviewing our Success Stories, FAQ, and submitting a Franchise Inquiry Form, we will contact you to discuss further. We will review your inquiry, your goals, and answer initial questions.
FRANCHISE DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT
At this stage, we will provide you a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The FDD is an important document required of all franchise systems. It contains 23 sections of information to assist you in making a well-informed decision before investing in a franchise. Also included in the FDD is a list of our current Franchisees and their contact information. We encourage you to reach out to learn more about the business.
FULL APPLICATION
We will ask you to submit detailed information to support your application. This will allow us to do appropriate background & financial checks.
DISCOVERY DAY
You will be invited to Runza® Headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will meet our Franchisee Committee - we'll ask you questions, you will ask us questions. We will introduce you to various department leaders and provide a brief overview of the support you can expect from our team. In addition, we will visit a current Runza® Restaurant for an informal tour.
DISCOVERY WEEK
You will spend a week observing and working in a Runza® Restaurant. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about the demands of our business and for us to learn more about you.
SITE SELECTION
After an initial consultation with our Development Team, you will submit site(s) information for consideration.
MANAGEMENT TRAINING - PHASE 1
We give you three weeks of full-time, hands-on management training to further consider your fit as a Runza® franchisee & operator.
FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
Congratulations! It is time to sign your franchise agreement and officially bestow upon you the title of Runza® Franchisee!
SITE DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION
You will work with an architect to develop your site-specific plans to be submitted to Runza® for approval. We will work side-by-side with you & your architect to make this a seamless experience. Permitting process, choosing a General Contractor, and constructing your restaurant.
MANAGEMENT TRAINING - PHASE 2
You've learned much about Runza® and up to the next nine months will allow you to further develop your Runza® skills and prepare you for imminent opening. You will also spend this time hiring and training the staff for your new Runza®.

You've spent the last several months preparing for this moment, and our team will be by your side supporting your team. You are our top priority!
