IN WHICH MARKETS ARE YOU CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR FRANCHISEES?
We are actively seeking franchise candidates in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri and Wyoming. Brand recognition is very important to your success, and as such, we have focused our attention on communities relatively close to other communities with existing Runza® location(s).
HOW INVOLVED MUST I BE IN THE RUNZA® BUSINESS?
You must be actively involved in the day-to-day operations, available and able to manage your Runza® franchise. We will only consider candidates fully committed to Runza as their career. Furthermore, we prioritize candidates with recent foodservice experience. You must also own at least 51% of the business.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO OPEN A RUNZA® FRANCHISE?
The estimated initial investment ranges from $956,800 to $3,291,800. The range varies based on real estate ownership, building model, and site-specific factors.
WHAT ARE THE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS?
You & your partners will need at least $500,000 in liquid assets and you need a net worth of at least $1,000,000.
HOW MUCH IS THE CURRENT FRANCHISEE FEE? ROYALTY FEE? ADVERTISING FEE?
- Franchise Fee: $30,000 for the initial 10-year term; 10-year renewal option for $15,000, subject to terms.
- Royalty Fee: 5% of Sales
- Brand Building Fund: 1% of Sales
- Other Advertising: Up to 4% of Sales (current average is less than 2% of Sales)
HOW MUCH MONEY WILL I MAKE?
Our Franchise Disclosure Document includes a Financial Performance Representation which contains average sales and expenses for company-owned Runza® Restaurants open the entire prior year. We also disclose average sales based on community population brackets.
DOES RUNZA® OFFER FINANCING?
We do not offer financing. However, we will consider owning the real estate and leasing back to you.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO OPEN?
Once you have completed Phase One of training, you may be open in less than six months. Building construction typically takes 120 days.
